About Core Attitude
Core Attitude was founded by former ballet dancer and experienced fitness professional, Kim Balfour. With a career spanning over 15 years as a professional ballet dancer, including eight years as a soloist with West Australian Ballet, Kim brings a unique blend of discipline, body awareness, and creativity to fitness and wellness coaching.
After transitioning from the stage, Kim shifted her focus to become a qualified and accredited Fitness Leader with FIA, leveraging her expertise in movement, strength, nutrition, and flexibility to help others achieve their fitness goals. As a Fitness Leader with an understanding of both the aesthetic and functional aspects of fitness, Kim developed a passion for holistic workout and wellness strategies, particularly for clients looking to improve core strength, posture, and body shaping.
Core Attitude was born from the desire to integrate holistic fitness with the foundational strength that comes from core-centric training. Drawing on her background in ballet, body sculpting, wellness, and nutrition, Kim frames her coaching with a trauma-aware personalised approach, ensuring that each client receives guidance tailored to their unique body type, goals, and lifestyle.
Founded on the professional foundations of classical ballet and personal training, Core Attitude offers more than just workout sessions—it offers a pathway to strength, confidence, and body balance.

Trans, Gender Diverse, Non-Binary & Agender Positive
Core Attitude proudly supports transgender, non-binary, gender-diverse, and non-gender people and communities. Kim’s lived experience as a transgender woman means she understands the unique challenges that come with navigating fitness and wellness industries in a world that typically doesn’t cater to gender-diverse individuals. We help clients achieve their goals framed by a safe and inclusive framework, whether it's through tailored programs that align with their personal body-shaping desires or providing compassionate support during transition-related physical changes.
Neurodivergent Positive
Neurodivergence affects how people perceive the world and how the world perceives them, and the fitness and wellness industries are often challenging to negotiate in this respect. At Core Attitude, we value and celebrate the strengths and unique needs of neurodivergent clients. Our programs are designed with flexibility and understanding, allowing clients to work at their own pace and in ways that best suit their sensory preferences. We provide a space that’s open to anything from highly structure sessions to something a little more creative and loose, where you have the best chance of focussing on your fitness and wellness goals.
Body Positive
Core Attitude embraces the body positive movement by encouraging clients to focus on what their bodies can do, rather than conforming to narrow societal standards of appearance. We support body diversity, helping clients of all shapes, sizes, and abilities to find strength, confidence, and joy in movement. Whether your goal is to enhance functionality, mobility, or simply to feel more at home in your body, Core Attitude provides a compassionate and judgment-free space.
